TV doc Noah Wylie bandages up ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ producer
“The Pitt” star Noah Wyle was a real-life hero of sorts when he bandaged up a “KPop Demon Hunters” producer who injured themselves at the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday night.
We hear that animation producer Michelle Wong was leaving the awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif., when she allegedly, “fell and was injured,” a spy told Page Six.
The source added: “Guess who bandaged her up? Noah Wylie!”
Wong — whose film won best animated feature and best song at the awards — was in her glamorous gown exiting the venue when, a spy said, “she tripped on dress… it was the back parking lot of Barker Hanger.”
The insider told us, “It was dark,” and Wong wound up with, “two bloody gashes,” for her spill.
When someone brought a first-aid kit out, Wylie jumped into action in his tux. (“The Pitt” won best drama series at the awards show.)
“He did say, ‘I play a doctor on TV,’” a spy told us as he applied a bandage to the beaming producer.
Video seen by Page Six showed Wylie applying a bandage to the power producer’s arm and telling her, “I hope you’re OK.” Wong added with a smile, “I was falling out of the car!”
They even posed for some pics taken by a bystander, and Wylie told Wong, “hold up your bloody elbow” for the shots.
Wylie has a double medical degree, at least on TV. He currently stars as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch on the HBO hit “The Pitt,” which just launched its second season. He also, of course, played Dr. John Carter in the NBC medical drama “ER” from 1994 till 2005.
Ironically, Wylie recently told Jimmy Kimmel that he realized over the years he doesn’t have what it takes to be a real physician.
“I think trial by fire is where you determine whether or not you have what it takes to be a doctor or not,” Wyle explained on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last May. “And in the times I’ve been tested, I’ve found that I don’t have what it takes.”
The star recalled that he once was out at lunch with the cast of “ER” years ago — with colleagues including George Clooney, Eriq La Salle and Anthony Edwards, as well as, “Anthony’s young son, Bailey, who was maybe 4 at the time… we all went to lunch at the smokehouse restaurant across from Warner Bros. one day. And we’re all wearing our doctor clothes.”
That’s when, “Bailey started to choke on a French fry… Which is not funny. But [what] was funny is that the four guys dressed like doctors didn’t know what to do.”
Luckily a bus boy “walked over and gave Bailey a little push and the French fry came out. The restaurant got treated to four guys that look like doctors, looked like ‘Keystone Cops.’”
Page Six previously reported how “KPop Demon Hunters” singer-songwriter Ejae — who took home the Critics Choice honor earlier in the night for the smash hit “Golden” alongside Mark Sonnenblick — told us of the tune: “It’s in sync with the intention of the song and how I felt writing it. For me, it was a hopeful song. It gave me hope that one day my dreams would come true. I still feel that now.”
Wong also produced the animated film, “Vivo.”
