Watch Bill Murray threaten to stomp on pushy fan at movie theater: ‘Don’t do it again’

Bill Murray was caught on video snapping at a pushy fan after they nearly tripped him inside a New York City movie theater.

The actor was holding a Q&A segment at the AMC Lincoln Square 13 for his film, “The Friend,” when an overexcited fan began following him through the lobby, according to a now-viral video on TikTok.

In the clip, the unidentified man attempts to film Murray before seemingly stepping on the heel of his shoe, causing him to almost take a tumble.

“Stop it! Stop it!” the “Ghostbuster” actor, 74, snaps angrily at the man before charging the fan.

“You attack me like that again, I’ll step on your foot,” Murray threatens him while wagging his finger in the admirer’s face, who immediately backs away while apologizing

“Don’t do it again,” the visibly irritated actor repeatedly tells the fan before adding, “That is physical assault what you just did.”

While some social media users slammed the actor for overreacting, others applauded him “for creating a boundary.”

“I’m on Bills side like damn give the guy some space,” one user wrote.

“People need to learn boundaries,” a second added, to which a third agreed, “People need to respect other people’s personal space.”

“I’m on the celebrity side every time when it comes to fans and paparazzi they are waaaayyy too aggressive and add unnecessary stress to celebrities lives,” someone else wrote.

Lots of people also took to the comments to share their positive interactions with the movie star, who famously does not have an agent or manager.

“I was at a Cubs game, Bill Murray sat in front of us, he bought us a round of beers because we would stop fans from harassing him. Great guy!” a fifth user chimed in.

“Bill Murray isn’t perfect, but everyone that I have known that has met him as had nothing but awesome things to say,” another netizen wrote.

Murray’s social interactions with fans have been a hot topic of discussion for years — from photobombing engagement photoshoots to performing impromptu musicals in public parks.

There has also been a long-standing urban myth that the “Groundhog Day” actor occasionally swipes french fries from unsuspecting strangers — which he confirmed to Page Six in February.

When asked about the internet rumors at a screening of his film “Riff Raff,” Murray sarcastically quipped that “a man’s gotta eat.”

He joked that fries “often just lean off a plate and they’re ready” for the taking, which is where he comes in.

“Come on, it’s New York! There’s a lot of excess here, there’s plenty of food,” he told us.

He noted that people “usually have a couple of spares” anyway.
