Weezer bassist Scott Shriner’s wife, Jillian, diagnosed with cancer weeks before being shot, arrested by cops

The wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner was diagnosed with cancer just weeks before being shot by police and arrested for attempted murder.

Jillian Shriner revealed in an Instagram post on March 4 that she had been undergoing treatment for the disease.

“Yes, I have a little bit of the C word y’all,” she captioned a photo of herself in a hospital. “I know a lot of us do.”

Jillian, 51, thanked her “incredible” oncology team at Adventist Health in Glendale, Calif., for completing her “complicated operation without a hitch.”

“I am always so grateful for every second of the compassionate, and excellent medical care I receive in my life,” she wrote. “Thank you to all the remarkable health care workers, who take our lives in your hands. And let’s all breathe.”

Two weeks later, Jillian gave fans another health update after undergoing “two back to back” surgeries, including a full hysterectomy.

“I feel called upon to mention it, because i know only two people who had this procedure and neither is with us today,” she wrote in a post on March 22. “They weren’t here for me to call, and ask what to expect. I’m saying: I’m here. Ask me. I’m okay and healing today.”

The writer expressed her gratitude for all the beautiful things in life like her journal, her family and “the baby yellow-bellied finches outside [her] bedroom window.”

“That’s my story today. I thank you for your overwhelming support, and I love most of you. Kidding. I love you all. May we all be well tonight,” she concluded.

Jillian made headlines Wednesday when news broke that she had been was shot by cops and booked for attempted murder and interfering with a police chase.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a hit-and-run on a freeway near the city’s Eagle Rock neighborhood on Tuesday, according to a press release.

Three suspects fled the scene and traveled toward a residential area, where officers swiftly barricaded off the perimeter.

Jillian then allegedly came out of her home with a handgun. When cops ordered her several times to drop her weapon, she refused and allegedly pointed it at them.

She was then shot in an undisclosed part of her body and ran into her home.

The bestselling author was treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds at a local hospital and subsequently booked for attempted murder.

She married the “Beverly Hills” musician, 59, in 2005, and they have two adopted kids.
