Wendy Williams is ‘in great shape mentally and physically,’ brother insists: ‘Let her out’

Wendy Williams’ brother gave a glowing review of the former talk show host’s health.

Tommy Williams insisted to Us Weekly on Wednesday that Wendy, 60, is “in great shape mentally and physically.”

He added, “Let her out.”

Wendy, notably, resides in an assisted living facility in New York City and has been under a court-ordered guardianship since 2022.

The Daytime Emmy nominee, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2024, referred to the facility as a “prison” in a January “Breakfast Club” interview and denied being “impaired.”

She fired her court-appointed attorney that same month and filed to remove her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, in February.

On Monday, Wendy made headlines for dropping a note to paparazzi begging for “help.”

Police performed a wellness check, after which Wendy went to the Lenox Hill Hospital via ambulance and underwent a psychiatric evaluation.

The former broadcaster called in to “Good Day New York” on Tuesday and said she passed the mental capacity test “with flying colors.”

The following evening, Wendy was all smiles when photographed out and about in New York City after dining at Max Tucci’s NoHo restaurant, Tucci.

Wendy’s last outing was in February when she flew to Florida for her father’s birthday.

She also traveled to the state in December 2024 for her son Kevin Hunter Jr.’s college graduation.

Morrissey’s lawyer pointed out the trips while clapping back at many of Wendy’s so-called “inaccurate” claims in a letter to TMZ Wednesday.

The statement alleged that Wendy can see and speak to her family members at any time despite the former radio DJ claiming she is not allowed visitors.

The attorney also insisted that Wendy is receiving “excellent medical care” in her facility, praising its “spa, workout room, excellent food, dining room and outside terraces.”
