What to Know About ‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ Season 7 After the Death of Mary Cosby’s Son

The ladies of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City will return for season 7.

Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, Mary Cosby, Heather Gay, Whitney Rose, Bronwyn Newport, Angie Katsanevas and “friend” Britani Bateman wrapped season 6 in 2025, which aired that fall.

While the ladies were scheduled to resume filming in February 2026, the Bravo stars suffered a tragedy when Mary’s son, Robert Cosby Jr., died at 23 after a suspected overdose just days before. Filming for season 7 was subsequently postponed.

“His untimely passing is hard to comprehend, and the Cosbys are struggling to understand how someone so young and full of life could be gone so soon,” Mary’s lawyer Clayton Simms told Us in an exclusive statement. “Robert Jr.’s warm spirit, humor and kind heart will be missed. … This loss is sudden, and the family asks for privacy during this difficult time.”

How Did the Death of Mary Cosby’s Son Impact ‘RHOSLC’ Season 7?

Us Weekly confirmed on February 25, 2026, that Bravo halted production on RHOSLC. 

Filming resumed the next week, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The outlet further reported that Mary was not among the Bravolebrities featured when cameras picked up.

Will Mary Cosby Return to ‘RHOSLC’ After Son Robert Jr.’s Death?

A source confirmed to Us days after Robert Cosby Jr.’s death that his mother, Mary Cosby, still expected to retain her snowflake.

“Mary is planning on moving forward and will film The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” the insider said in February 2026. “Filming will start next week. Robert Jr. will be talked about, and Mary is aware and open.”

Mary’s fellow Housewives have also been supportive in light of the tragedy.

“The ladies have all been rallying around her and lifting her up. They are all mothers and have been so supportive and empathetic toward her,” the source added at the time. “They are all heartbroken by the situation and can’t imagine. All of them have been checking in on her.”

What Has Mary Cosby Said About Her Son Robert Jr.’s Death?

Mary Cosby shared her only child with her husband, Robert Cosby Sr., and they released a statement after Robert Jr.’s death.

“Our beloved son Robert Jr. has been called home to the Lord,” Mary said in a statement to Us in February 2026. “Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God’s promise and in knowing he is finally at peace. We are grateful for your prayers and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow.”

Who Else Will Return for ‘RHOSLC’ Season 7?

Bravo has not formally announced the cast list for the new episodes. In addition to Mary Cosby, season 6 featured Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, Heather Gay, Bronwyn Newport, Angie Katsanevas and Britani Bateman.

By the end of the season, Bronwyn announced her separation from husband Todd Bradley, while Meredith remained at odds with most of the ladies over her alleged plane meltdown.

When Will ‘RHOSLC’ Season 7 Premiere?

An air date for RHOSLC has yet to be revealed.
