Taylor Swift broke the internet — again.

The 14-time Grammy-winning singer and songwriter went viral after her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, announced on Aug. 12, that she would appear on the podcast he hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce.

Swift’s interview will unfold in the latest New Heights episode premiering on Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 7 p.m. ET. A clip revealed that she will share details about her upcoming 12th studio album.

In the first podcast teaser shared on Instagram, the “Guilty as Sin?” musician looked over at the NFL star and said, “That’s such a nice color on you.” Kelce replied, “Yes, I know. It’s the color of your eyes, sweetie. It’s why we match so well.”

Swift smiled down and paused for a beat before saying, “We’re about to do a f—— podcast!”

Why is Taylor Swift appearing on New Heights?

Though most of the interview details have yet to be shared, a second teaser revealed that Swift will officially announce her new album on New Heights.

In the clip, which was posted on Instagram at 12:12 a.m. on Aug. 12, 2025, Swift asked Jason if she could show him “something.” The singer then pulled out a green briefcase with the label T.S. on it, which contained her 12th album.

Fans started to suspect that Swift was releasing new music after she added a countdown timer to her website on Aug. 11, 2025. The mint-green clock, which expired at 12:12 a.m. ET, was set against a glittering orange backdrop. Notably, multiple orange books and paintings were displayed behind the singer in her New Heights teaser.

The singer’s Instagram account fanned the flames that same day, posting a carousel of orange-clad shots with the caption, “Thinking about when she said ‘See you next era…’ ”

What is Taylor Swift’s new album called?

Swift revealed during the second New Heights interview teaser that her upcoming album is called The Life of a Showgirl. Though the orange and green color scheme is clear, the album cover was blurred in the Instagram clip and on her website.

The album’s release date hasn’t been revealed. However, pre pre-ordered copies of The Life of a Showgirl CD, vinyl and cassette will ship before Oct. 13, 2025, according to the site.

Following the album announcement, multiple billboards were unveiled in Nashville and New York City, promoting The Life of a Showgirl. The massive advertisements included links to a Spotify playlist from Swift, titled “And, baby, that’s show business for you!” 

The playlist features 22 songs, including hits like “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” from Red, “Blank Space” from 1989 and “Delicate” from Reputation. There are also some tracks from the Red (Taylor’s Version) vault, like “Message In a Bottle (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault).”
