Where Taylor Frankie Paul, ex Dakota Mortensen stand ahead of ‘Bachelorette’ filming
Taylor Frankie Paul is done with Dakota Mortensen.
The future “Bachelorette” lead set the record straight on where she stands with her ex-boyfriend — and father of her 1-year-old son, Ever — on “Call Her Daddy” Wednesday.
When podcast host Alex Cooper asked whether the pair are over “for good,” the “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star, 31, gave the affirmative.
“We’ll see that play out [on Season 3],” she said before confirming she was the one who made “the final call to end it.”
Paul, however, laughed when asked when she last hooked up with Mortensen, 32, and joked that she was “sweating.”
Although she couldn’t “remember off the top of [her] head actually,” Cooper, 31, helped her out by asking, “Stagecoach?”
Paul replied, “Yeah, that might have been [the last]. Maybe one after.”
The reality star acknowledged that the end of her relationship with Mortensen, whom she started dating in 2022, has “been very confusing.”
She explained, “I did want to end up with him. That’s no secret to anybody … but it just did not work out. It was really hard to let go. That was a hard pill to swallow. There was no pain like it. One of the hardest summers I’ve ever had.”
The TikTok star defended going back to Mortensen, saying that she “won’t lie about” those “setbacks.”
She admitted that her ex would be finding out that she is the Season 22 “Bachelorette” lead through the podcast, like everyone else — and predicted Mortensen would feel “sad.”
Paul noted, “He does know I was dating or meeting people, so we’ve already had that first hurdle.”
As for whether the real estate agent will tune in, Paul quipped, “Yeah, I think he’s always watching.”
In addition to Mortensen, the influencer shares daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 5, with her ex-husband, Tate Paul.
Although Taylor recently teased a romance with a new man on social media, she clarified to listeners Wednesday that the “curveball” was not a “soft launch.”
She insisted, “I have met the guy twice. Likeable guy, he’s great. Are we official? No. I don’t know the guy. … I like to confuse people. It’s fun. It’s entertaining.”
Taylor, who wanted to “date a little bit before” the show, said the man in question knows about “The Bachelorette” and will “maybe … be here” if she doesn’t meet anyone.
She confirmed the “good soul” is “mature” and will not compete for her love on air, which her friends called a “green flag.”
