It’s no surprise that Nicole and Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, were tight during Nicole’s relationship with Kelce.

In fact, she even served as one of Brittany’s bridesmaids in her 2022 wedding to Patrick.

However, their friendship seemed to fizzle when Brittany began hanging out with Swift once she and Kelce became an item. Nicole even unfollowed the former pro athlete on Instagram in October 2023.

Without naming names, Nicole addressed her fallout with some of her former fellow NFL WAGs during her October 2024 appearance on Angel Reese’s “Unapologetically Angel” podcast.

“We were cool [but] we are not as cool as we once were,” she noted.

She is bothered by online hate

As previously mentioned, Kelce and Swift’s relationship brought Nicole a great deal of negative attention, though she has no problem clapping back against a hater every so often.

Despite this, she admitted on “Unapologetically Angel” in October 2024 that the “online chaos” definitely affects her.

“You can go to my most recent post and it will be people debating each other why I am worthless and I’ll never be a talented person and I have no career,” she said.

“I think that there’s something about that level of fame that attracts crazy people,” she speculated. “It’s unfortunate because I’ve never done anything to warrant that kind of backlash.”

After the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker and NFL star went public, Nicole said she was thankful for therapy for keeping her level-headed.

“Had I not done that, I don’t know how I would be reacting in the moment right now,” she said.

She won Season 3 of ‘Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test’

Nicole and Brody Jenner won Season 3 of the Fox competition series “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.”

She and the “Hills” alum were the only two out of 16 recruits to pass the military tests on the season finale, which aired in February 2025.

“I told myself that if I made it to the last day, that there was just no option of going home,” Nicole told Us Weekly of the 10-day challenge. “There was no concept of time and I just kept telling myself, ‘I’ve made it this far.’”

“From interrogation, they shoot closing scenes and then they take you back to your hotel. I called my family and everyone’s all excited [that] I made it to the end. But I found myself — I’m not even kidding — rocking on my bed and I didn’t realize how long I was doing. I know it’s a little creepy, [but I was] rocking on my bed, self-soothing for probably 15 minutes,” Nicole told the outlet.

She launched a podcast

In April 2025, Nicole announced on Instagram that she was launching her podcast, “The Pre-Game.”

“Each week, Kayla Nicole dives into all the things you and your girls actually talk about, from pop culture tea, to those ‘what would you do?’ scenarios that have you screaming at your phone,” read a description of the show.

Nicole has had several celebrity guest appearances, including “Jersey Shore” star Vinny Guadagnino, model Tatiana Elizabeth and “Snowfall” actor Melvin Gregg.
