Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith cozy up on red carpet in first joint appearance since separation reveal
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are each other’s ride or die.
The couple looked cozy at the Los Angeles premiere of “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” Thursday evening as they made their first joint red carpet appearance since the revelation that they have been separated for seven years.
Smith, 55, smiled as he and his wife of 26 years leaned in toward one another while posing for cameras.
The actor, who stars in the fourth installment of the “Bad Boys” franchise with Martin Lawrence, wore an all-black ensemble that included a floral-patterned blazer and fitted beanie. He accessorized with black-rimmed shades and a thick woven chain necklace.
Pinket Smith, 52, appeared proud to be standing by his side in a semi-sheer dress that featured a wavy black pattern throughout.
The couple was accompanied by their children, Willow Smith and Jaden Smith, as well as Will’s son Trey, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Sheree Zampino.
Jada’s mom, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, also walked the premiere carpet at the TLC Theater.
While Thursday evening marked Will and Jada’s first joint public appearance following her shocking revelation in October 2023, the former “Red Table Talk” host supported her husband at the Dubai premiere of “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” on May 22.
While the pair did not pose on the carpet together, the “Girls Trip” star documented the outing on social media by sharing photos of herself in a black-and-white Iris van Herpen gown.
Jada shocked fans last fall when she shared that they have been living separately for years while promoting her memoir, “Worthy.”
“We’re still figuring it out,” she told People at the time. “We’ve been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other, and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us.”
She had previously confirmed they were privately separated during her infamous “entanglement” with singer August Alsina.
In December 2023, the author revealed Will’s notorious 2022 Oscars slap saved their union.
“After all those years trying to figure out if I would leave Will’s side, it took that slap for me to see I will never leave him,” she told the Daily Mail.
“I call it the ‘holy slap’ now because so many positive things came after it.”
The longtime couple has been married since 1997.
