Yankees Fan Tries to Rip Baseball From Mookie Betts’ Glove During Game 4 of the World Series: Watch

The New York Yankees are fighting to keep their World Series chances alive, but one person not helping is the fan who tried to rip a baseball out of Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts’ glove.
During the bottom of the first inning of Game 4 at Yankee Stadium, Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres hit a deep foul ball to right field. Betts, 32, ran to the wall and leapt to make the catch. A fan interfered though, grabbing the right fielders’ glove and trying to remove the ball. A second fan appeared to grab Betts’ wrist. The ball popped out of the glove and into the stands.
The umpires wasted no time calling Torres, 27, out on fan interference. A league official told The Athletic that the fan and the one sitting beside him were ejected from Yankee Stadium.
Game 4 on Tuesday, Oct. 29 is the Yankees’ last chance to keep the World Series going. The Dodgers won the first three games of the series, including Game 1 on a dramatic walk-off Grand Slam by Freddie Freeman.
