Kelly Ripa Swears She’s Never ‘Getting Naked Again’ If She and Mark Consuelos Ever Split: ‘Dating Is Out of the Question’

Don’t expect to see Kelly Ripa out on the prowl if she and Mark Consuelos ever break up.

During the July 2 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Ripa, 54, brought up a hypothetical reality in which she and Consuelos, also 54, were to split, revealing that dating would not be on her to-do list in that alternative universe.

“Let’s just say you were to leave me. I can say with 100% certainty that dating is out of the question,” Ripa said. “I’ve had three kids, there’s too much to explain.”

The longtime couple met on the soap All My Children in 1995 and married the following year. They are parents to three children: son Michael, 28, daughter Lola, 24, and son Joaquin, 22.

Ripa also joked that being intimate with anyone would be out of the question if Consuelos weren’t in the picture.

“I’m not ever getting naked again — and I resent having to get naked in front of you sometimes,” she quipped. “I’m like, ‘No, no, no. Light out. You can wait until dark. Also, turn off that light, and also turn off your cell phone light. I want it pitch-black in here. And no unexpected touching!'”

The conversation stemmed from Ripa referring to an article that discussed what women shouldn’t do if they want to repel a man.

“Let’s say if you and I broke up, and this is an article about what not to do if you want to attract a man, but here’s what I’m saying,” Ripa said. “I’m doing all of these things to be repellent to a man!”

Consuelos, for his part, got a kick out of the whole conversation, laughing alongside the studio audience.

This isn’t the first time Ripa has discussed a world in which she and Consuelos weren’t together.

In an episode of their show from May, Ripa joked that Consuelos would “absolutely fall apart, completely” if they broke up. “That’s true,” he responded.

After Consuelos suggested he was “pretty sure” someone would be there to “pick me up and make sure I’m okay” on the other end of their split, Ripa fired back with a laugh.

“Oh my God. Oh, dear God, I hope I live to see your second wife!” she told him.
