Amanda Batula swore off ‘Summer House’ men weeks before confirming West Wilson romance
Amanda Batula insisted she would never date another one of her “Summer House” co-stars weeks before she confirmed her romance with West Wilson.
The reality star was asked if she would finally take her male cast mate’s flirtations “seriously” following her split from estranged husband, Kyle Cooke.
“No. Ew,” she promptly replied during her Feb. 3 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” — alongside her former bestie Ciara Miller.
The Lover Boy co-founder further explained her reasoning, noting that she’s “taking a page out of [Miller’s] book and staying away from Bravo men.”
“I love my boys, not in that way,” Batula, 34, concluded.
But by the next month, rumors began swirling that Batula was secretly hooking up with Wilson — who previously dated Miller.
On March 5, a source told Deuxmoi they were spotted being “openly flirty, allegedly even holding hands under the table” at an event in New York City.
Last week, Page Six exclusively reported that Batula and Miller’s friendship was fractured by the rumors and fans noticed that the two were “unliking” each other’s social media posts.
Over the weekend, several of their “Summer House” co-stars weighed into the drama via social media, before Batula and Wilson finally confirmed their romance with a bombshell statement on Tuesday.
“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity,” the two shared a joint statement via their Instagram Stories.
“It was never our intention to purposely hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”
The pair noted that their “connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship” and explained that they took time to go public with their relationship because they wanted to “approach this with care.”
They concluded the statement by asking for “understanding and respect.”
Shortly after Batula and Wilson revealed the truth, a source close to the situation exclusively told Page Six that they are in a “full-blown relationship.”
“It’s not just a hookup,” our insider insisted, adding that the duo’s castmates — including Miller and Cooke — are “pissed” and “disappointed.”
Meanwhile, Miller has unfollowed her and ex and former friend.
