‘Love Is Blind’ Couple Sara and Joey Film Shock Apartment Flooding: ‘Everything’s Ruined’

Love Is Blind’s Sara Carton and Joey Leveille shared glimpses of a dramatic apartment flooding.
Taking to Instagram Stories on Sunday, August 10, to share footage of water gushing into an apartment rented by Sara, 29, the season 8 costars filmed multiple angles that captured the deluge.
Sharing her wardrobe carpet drenched as a result, plus footage of her bathroom becoming inundated, Sara was heard asking Joey in her clip, “Do you have your headlamp Joey?” to which he replied, “No.” She captioned the video, “Laughing in times of stress. My whole apartment stack is flooded. Please send us all good vibes — we’ll need it.”
Joey, 35, who went Instagram official with Sara in July, also shared footage that captured water gushing into a living area, entrance and kitchen, with pieces of furniture stacked on top of one another in an attempt to limit the damage.
“#SundayScaries,” Joey captioned the video, tapping his feet in the water beneath him before tagging his girlfriend in the post. Sara then shared Joey’s clip via her own account with the caption, “But everything’s ruined. I’m fine everything is fine.”
Sara’s video also included a plea to anybody who may have found themselves in similar situations. “If you have any experience working with renters insurance claims, send me all your tips and tricks,” she wrote.
Just two days prior, Sara shared an Instagram grid photo dump which included a clip of her and Joey smiling and cuddling up on Sara’s couch together as they found something to watch on TV, landing on Netflix’s Trainwreck Poop Cruise as an option.
The carousel also featured several loved-up snaps of Sara and Joey, who walked down their individual Love Is Blind aisles (but failed to marry) pod matches Ben Mezzenga and Monica Danús, respectively.
Sara and Joey confirmed their romance via an Instagram carousel shared from both of their accounts on July 13. The post included two photos that showed the couple posing on a rooftop — one where they smiled at the camera and another where they kissed.
Sara captioned the carousel at the time, “Happy. My newest life chapter title,” before Joey shared it.
The couple’s confirmation came after Sara initially denied that she was romantically involved with Joey, revealing on the May 8 episode of the “Dear Shandy” podcast that the duo were “exploring” their relationship. “[We are] dating in the sense of exploring our relationship and getting to know one another,” Sara explained on the episode.
