A frightening reality comes to life in season 7 of The Kardashians.
Hulu dropped the official trailer for the upcoming season of the hit reality show on Wednesday, Oct. 1, during which Kim Kardashian makes a shocking confession.
Midway through the video, Kim, 44, says in a confessional that she got a “call from investigators” and was told that “someone extremely close to me put a hit out on my life.”

As Kim reveals the news, a clip of her getting in a blacked-out vehicle plays on screen, as well as a clip of her looking worried as she steps away from filming.
Kim then appears to be sitting in an office as she reads something on a computer, before becoming overwhelmed with emotions and putting her head down.
Kendall Jenner shares in a voiceover that “everybody’s kind of on edge,” before Kylie Jenner is seen telling Kris Jenner and Scott Disick, “I heard footsteps walking into my room.”
The video then cuts to a clip of a police car pulling up to a home surrounded by camera crews and spectators, as Kim says in a voiceover, “I am terrified out of my mind.”
She, however, seems to find some resolution from what is happening, as she emotionally says in a confessional, “I’m happy it’s over.”
Season 7, which Kim calls “a whole different beast,” also chronicles her visit to Paris to testify in the trial related to her 2016 robbery. Fans also get to see her hosting her All’s Fair costars Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson and Niecy Nash at Kris’ house.
After the 2016 robbery, a source told PEOPLE that Kim would be beefing up her security.
“[She will have] a much heavier security team,” said the source at the time. “There will be a focus on security personnel who aren’t in traditional clothing. There will be a lot more undercover security.”
