Will Smith celebrates son’s birthday in rare blended family photos with Jada Pinkett and his ex
Will Smith joined his ex-wife, Sheree Zampino, as they marked their son Trey’s 33rd birthday with a family celebration.
The “Bad Boys” star posed for rare blended family photos featuring his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, and his second son, Jaden Smith, in an Instagram post shared by Zampino on Wednesday.
“Wow! You are 33 Son! What a pure delight and magnificent soul you are! Your light is infectious and the love, grace, and compassion that you live & move in is such a beautiful honor, privilege & joy to behold!” she captioned the post.
“To say that I am honored to be your Mother would only touch the surface of the depth of my gratitude and love for you! May this 33rd year around the Sun be a portal into another dimension of brilliance & abundance! HAPPY 33rd to The AngO!”
In the first picture, Will stood next to Zampino while their son wrapped his arms around the group.
She also posted a video of Will — along with several other family and friends — singing “Happy Birthday” to the birthday boy.
The “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star married Zampino in 1992 but the pair went their separate ways and divorced in 1995.
Just two years later, Will married Pinkett Smith. The two share son Jaden, 27, and daughter Willow, 25.
As far as their co-parenting relationship, the road was rocky between Pinkett Smith and Zampino, according to the entrepreneur.
Zampino revealed in August 2022 that the trio of parents didn’t see eye to eye on parenting styles because they each had “three different dynamics, three different personalities and [three] different belief systems.”
“My thing was with Jada — it was like, as long as she treats him well, we’re good,” Zampino said on David Yontef’s “Behind the Velvet Rope” podcast.
At the time, Zampino noted that the “Girls Trip” star always “treated [Trey] well” and “loved him.”
However, the “Men in Black” star revealed that he had his own issues with his son following his divorce from Zampino.
In 2018, Will shared that the father and son “struggled for years” after his split from his ex as he reflected on the progress he had made with Trey over the years.
“It has not always been like this between Trey & I. We STRUGGLED FOR YEARS after my Divorce from his Mother. He felt betrayed & abandoned. It is a Wild Blessing to recover & restore a Loving Relationship with My Beautiful Son! @treysmith0011,” he said in an Instagram update.
Will went on to share that his son told him that his dad had come to be his best friend.
Trey has typically kept a low profile in comparison to the rest of his famous family.
However, he appeared next to Will in the star’s 1998 music video for his track titled “Just The Two of Us,” and went on to star in two episodes of the series “All Of Us” in 2003.
