Ariana Grande Fangirls over Love on the Spectrum’s Connor and Tanner at Wicked Premiere: ‘I’m So Honored’

Ariana Grande counts Love on the Spectrum’s Connor Tomlinson and Tanner Smith among her fans — and she’s just as much a fan of them.
A viral video taken at the Monday, Nov. 17 New York City premiere of Wicked: For Good (in theaters Friday), shows the actress-musician, 32, having an adorable interaction with Tomlinson and Smith, greeting the Netflix reality series stars near the event’s red carpet.
“Do you want a handshake or a hug?” Smith asked Grande, who responded enthusiastically, “A hug would be great! Is that okay?”
“It’s so nice to finally meet you in person,” Tomlinson said, adding that he’s been a fan of the actress since she starred in Nickelodeon’s Victorious.
“I’m so honored to meet you guys!” said Grande. “Thank you for bringing so much light to everyone’s lives… I love following you guys, I love the show.”

As the trio posed for photos, she added, “I’m so happy right now.” Of Wicked: For Good, Grande told them, “I’m so excited for you guys to see the movie. I hope you love it.”
In addition to starring on Love on the Spectrum, which gives viewers an intimate look at navigating love as individuals on the autism spectrum, Tomlinson and Smith are friends and advocates for autism awareness. Season 3 of their Emmy-winning series premiered in April; Netflix has announced that the show has been renewed for a fourth season.
In his caption for the Instagram post showing his meeting Grande at the Wicked premiere, Tomlinson wrote, “never getting over this! 🥹”
Glinda the Good herself joined the comments: “so so so happy to have finally met you all !!!!! 🥹🫧🫶🏼” wrote Grande, who also shared it on her Instagram Stories.
The Oscar nominee costars with Cynthia Erivo in Wicked: For Good, the second of director Jon M. Chu’s two movies adapting Winnie Holzman and Stephen Schwartz’s hit Broadway musical about the witches of Oz for the big screen. The movies costar Jonathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, Ethan Slater and more.
