Miley Cyrus Is Engaged! See Rare Photos of the Grammy-Winning Singer with Her Fiancé Maxx Morando
Miley Cyrus and Maxx Morando are engaged!
The “Flowers” singer and her drummer beau were first linked back in 2021, before they unofficially officially confirmed their relationship when they were spotted kissing while out in West Hollywood in April 2022. In the three years since, the pair have attended several red carpet events together, including the December 1 premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash at which Cyrus showed up wearing a diamond ring on her left-hand ring finger, sparking engagement rumors.
On December 2, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that the lovebirds are engaged.
Francesca Consulting, a rep for jewelry designer Jacquie Aiche, confirmed to PEOPLE that Aiche made the “bespoke” ring, which features a cushion-cut stone set on a thick, 14-karat yellow gold band.
“She is very happy with him,” an insider told PEOPLE back in 2024. “Miley has changed a lot in the past couple of years. She seems more calm and harmonious. Everyone loves Maxx. He’s a great guy. He’s private and doesn’t like being in the press. It’s been good for her.”

Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar about their six-year age difference, Miley told the publication it works out just fine because they “just don’t take life too seriously,” though she noted that Morando “looks at life really differently than I do.”
“He grew up with a laptop. I had a desktop computer that I shared with my brothers and sisters,” she explained. “Honestly, he’s raised our dog off Reddit. I’m like, ‘Are you sure we’re supposed to be doing this?’ And he’s like, ‘On Reddit it says blah, blah, blah.'”
Family Matters
Things have been serious between the two for a while – he sat with her family (including sister Brandi) at the Grammys in 2024.
Fun with Fashion
They channeled some serious ’80s vibes for the Gucci Love Parade in 2021 (which was their first public appearance together, though they hadn’t confirmed their relationship yet) …
