Why Nick Jonas walked out of Golden Globes 2026 in viral video
He is “Only Human.”
Nick Jonas took a moment for himself at the Golden Globes on Sunday, as a viral video showed the Jones Brothers member walking out of the awards show.
The clip, captured by Parade Magazine, caught fans’ attention, with one writing on X, “Social anxiety got the best of him.”
Jonas responded to a repost on X, “Yeah … it hit me like a gut punch,” a nod to his latest single, “Gut Punch.”
In the video, Jonas, 33, is seen outside the event, taking a breather from the chaos.
Fans were quick to comment in support, with one writing, “You are doing amazing Nick!!! I have anxiety too so I relate to this. So proud of you.”
“You’re doing amazing sweetie!!!! We all got the social anxiety blues,” another fan shared,
“I know this look … anxiety/panic attacks are no joke!” a TikTok user chimed in.
Jonas, who sported a black Berluti pinstriped tuxedo, attended the awards ceremony with his wife, Priyanka Chopra, 43, who presented the best male actor in a television series – drama alongside rapper Lisa.
The “Sucker” singer has previously been candid about his struggles with mental health.
During a 2023 appearance on the podcast “Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard,” Jonas recalled an off-key guitar solo he performed during a 2016 Academy of Country Music Awards duet with singer Kelsea Ballerini, which ultimately led him to therapy.
“In retrospect, I can kind of laugh about how big I thought it was,” he said at the time. “But it did travel more than I wish it would have, and it did cause me to go to therapy.”
He later described the moment as “really traumatic,” explaining how it shaped the pressure he put on himself “to be perfect and to always be on.”
Then in 2021, Jonas opened up to People about the emotional toll his Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis has taken on him.
“I think that mental and emotional health aspect of it is really important,” he said. “I certainly speak to my therapist … and luckily, I’ve got a really good support system around me and a great set of doctors.”
He added that there needs to be more awareness about the “mental and emotional impacts” the disease can have on loved ones, not just the individual.
