’19 Kids and Counting’ star Joseph Duggar’s mugshot released after being accused of molesting child
A glum Joseph Duggar was photographed for his mugshot after he was arrested for allegedly molesting a 9-year-old girl.
The “19 Kids and Counting” alum appeared sullen in the headshot photo, released by the Washington County Jail and obtained by Page Six on Thursday.
A family spokesperson told Page Six the Duggars do not have a statement at this time.
On Wednesday, the Bay County Sheriff’s Office announced the former reality TV star, 31, had been arrested and accused of molesting a 9-year-old girl in Florida.
He was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior involving a victim younger than the age of 12 and lewd and lascivious behavior toward a victim aged 18 or older.
Per their statement, investigators at Bay County were contacted by a detective from the Tontitown Police Department in Arkansas, regarding a report of past sexual abuse.
“The 14-year-old victim participated in a forensic interview, where she disclosed several incidents involving Duggar that occurred during a family vacation in Panama City Beach when she was 9-years-old,” the statement continued.
Per their investigation, the incidents allegedly took place in 2020, with the victim claiming that Duggar “repeatedly asked her to sit on his lap.”
He allegedly would also ask her to sit next to him on a couch before covering them up with a blanket and touching her privates. Duggar allegedly rubbed his hands on her thighs as well.
The victim recalled Duggar allegedly stopping after apologizing for his actions.
On March 17, 2026, the victim’s father confronted Duggar about the alleged incidents, which the businessman confessed to.
Duggar was ultimately arrested, with Page Six confirming he remains behind bars at the Washington County jail in Arkansas and hasn’t been officially booked.
Arkansas police tell us he will then be extradited to Bay County.
The TLC personality married Kendra Caldwell, 27, in 2017, and the couple shares three kids: Garrett, 7, Addison, 6, and Broolyn Praise, 5.
Joseph first rose to fame in the early 2000s when his parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, and all their children starred in the TLC show “19 and Counting,” which followed their lives as devout independent Baptists who adhere to strict, conservative Christian principles.
In 2015, the couple’s eldest son, Josh Duggar, was also accused of molesting minors, including his sisters.
He was arrested for receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material in April 2021 and found guilty later that year. Josh was sentenced to 12 years in prison, where he remains.
