John Catsimatidis looking to go international with beloved radio station
RED Apple Media boss John Catsimatidis is looking beyond the Big Apple.
The owner of 77 WABC was honored in Las Vegas with the Lowry Mays Excellence in Broadcasting Award at the Broadcasters Foundation of America’s annual breakfast on Wednesday.
And a source tells us Catsimatidis is busy mapping out the next phase for the station: taking it global.
We hear the billionaire grocery giant is planning to expand the station’s reach beyond the US into major international cities including London, Paris and Rome.
Also honored at the event were former “Inside Edition” anchor Deborah Norville and ABC Owned Television Stations president Chad Matthews.
