Latto Appears to Give Birth, Welcome 1st Child With 21 Savage 2 Months After Announcing New Album

Latto has seemingly welcomed her first child with fellow rapper 21 Savage.

The “Big Energy” rapper, 28, shared an emotional Instagram video on Monday, May 18, documenting her pregnancy, which she first revealed in March, from the moment she first broke the news to friends at five weeks pregnant to the moment she apparently gave birth.

The video concludes with the screen fading to black and Latto being encouraged to “push” as hospital machinery can be heard whirring behind her.

Us Weekly has reached out to representatives for Latto and 21 Savage for confirmation.

Latto — real name Alyssa Michelle Stephens — captioned the post, “BIG MAMA 5/29,” referring to her fourth studio album due for release on May 29. Latto announced her pregnancy back in March when she unveiled the album’s cover art, which features her showing off her baby bump.

In Monday’s video, Latto can be seen at various stages of her pregnancy, including getting an ultrasound scan at 13 weeks and shooting the cover for her new album.

“I was already thinking about naming my album Big Mama and then I found out about you and it just … everything fell into place,” Latto is heard explaining in a voiceover. “It’s so crazy because I thought this was going to hinder me — making this album sober, being tired and just exhausted as my body went through all these changes.”

The video also features cameos from 21 Savage, 33, and celebrity friends including Usher and Sexyy Red, who can be seen guessing the baby’s sex.

In a final video diary before giving birth, Latto, at 37 weeks pregnant, notes that she’s “basically full term” and “it’s any day now.”

“I’m so ready to meet my baby. I’m never going to leave when my baby gets here. Like, I need a million dollars a show because I don’t want to leave the house,” she quips.

Latto first confirmed her relationship with 21 Savage — real name Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph — in September 2025 amid longtime speculation about the pair.

In a video published by TMZ, Latto was asked if she was “tired” of rumors that she was dating 21 Savage. She responded, “No. My man, my man, my man.”

Latto previously downplayed speculation about her love life in an interview with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden in August 2024.

“The internet don’t know a goddamn thing. Let’s start there. But I like being private. I think it really ain’t nobody’s business,” she said. “Like, listen to the music and you’ll know what you need to know.”
