Mariah Carey keeps her Schiaparelli dress off the ground with a necklace
Wearing white is stressful. But Mariah Carey is taking matters into her own hands.
On, rather, stringing it around her neck.
With the help of a giant gold lariat, Carey lifted the skirt of her floor-grazing white Schiaparelli gown ($8,300) off the dirty floor on Sunday night.
The singer was spotted leaving a dinner at Santa Monica’s Giorgio Baldi alongside Kris Jenner, styling the figure-hugging white maxi dress in an unusual way.
While the brand’s website shows the chain, attached to the hem via gold padlock, wrapped around the model’s wrist, the “Obsessed” singer, 57, wrapped it around her neck instead.
The piece of jewelry not only prevented her gown from getting dirty, but it also lifted it high enough to reveal coordinated Gianvito Rossi metallic gold heeled sandals ($995) on her feet.
She completed the look with waist-grazing blond hair and stacks of diamond bracelets and rings.
Jenner, smiling by her side, wore monochromatic red, choosing a bright red silk coat over matching pants, pumps and a Hermès Kelly bag in the same fiery shade of croc.
She added a black shirt and dark sunglasses to complete the look.
