Anna Camp Gushes Over ‘Amazing’ Relationship With Girlfriend Jade Whipkey: ‘I’m So Lucky’ (Exclusive)
Anna Camp is gearing up for her first Pride Month with girlfriend Jade Whipkey by her side — and their relationship is stronger than ever.
“She accepts and loves me for everything that I am,” Camp, 43, told Us Weekly exclusively at the MPTF NextGen Summer Party, presented by Delta Air Lines and Waymo, at Hollywood’s The Aster rooftop restaurant on Sunday, May 31. “I feel like I can cry in front of her, I can laugh in front of her, I can take my time doing my makeup.”
She added, “There’s things that, as a woman in a relationship with another woman, I’ve never had before. I’ve always felt like I was doing things in order to keep a man happy, and I’m not doing that anymore.”
Camp sparked romance rumors with Whipkey, 25, in May 2025 when they packed on the PDA during a Los Angeles outing. The couple took their relationship public one month later by making their red carpet debut.
“I’m actually learning about myself for the first time in a really moving way,” Camp told Us about their relationship on Sunday. “I’m so lucky. I can cry. It’s amazing.”
The Pitch Perfect star also shared the biggest lesson she has learned in her current relationship.
“I don’t have to change who I am for love. I don’t have to dampen my emotions,” she said. “I don’t have to acquiesce to someone trying to tell me I’m too much or I’m too weird or I’m too this or too that.”
Camp also told Us she’s more “relaxed” with Whipkey. (She was previously married to Michael Mosley from 2010 to 2013 and Skylar Astin from 2016 to 2019.)
Camp can’t wait to celebrate Pride this year, telling Us that she wants to be “around a lot of other queer people” who have the same goal in mind.
“I walk with my girlfriend with my hand on her all the time, but to be around a lot of other people who are living out loud and proudly as themselves, and us normalizing that. This is normal,” she said, “There are gonna be queer people forever and always. There’s gonna be trans people forever and always. This is not something that can be stopped.”
Camp added, “We’re not doing anything wrong. We’re just living our authentic lives, and I think that’s what I’m most excited about, is celebrating my authentic life.”
Camp officially came out as bisexual in March during an appearance on the “I’ve Never Said This Before With Tommy DiDario” podcast.
“I am very proud of myself for owning my sexuality at this age,” she said. “I am a very strong person for doing it in somewhat of a spotlight with people criticizing and judging and making assumptions. I’m really proud to be bisexual.”
