Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley’s marriage ‘challenges’ exposed before split
Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley’s marriage troubles began before the couple separated after less than three years of marriage.
“Jack could be very particular about how he liked things,” a source exclusively told Page Six. “He’d often prefer for things to be done the way he thought was best, and Margaret didn’t always feel like her perspective was being heard or given the same weight.”
“Communication was definitely a challenge between him and Margaret,” the insider added.
Reps for Antonoff and Qualley did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
On Wednesday, a source confirmed the split to Page Six, with one source describing their relationship to People as “rocky.” Another source noted they are “figuring things out.”
The music producer and the actress, who tied the knot in August 2023, first sparked split rumors when Antonoff attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding without his estranged wife on July 3.
Antonoff was spotted attending the couple’s rehearsal dinner on July 2 with his sister, Rachel. She also accompanied him to the star-studded nuptials the following day.
Amid rumors that “The Nice Guy” actress was too busy filming her next movie to attend the wedding, a source told TMZ on Wednesday she had wrapped filming “King Snake” in June and is not set to start her next project, “Possession,” until much later.
At the time, Page Six obtained photos of the music producer entering the wedding festivities with his hands in his pockets, so it was unclear whether he was wearing his wedding band.
However, Antonoff was seen on Wednesday, at the same time news broke of their split, still wearing his ring.
Ahead of their split, the couple seemingly hinted at trouble in paradise for months.
In April, Qualley changed her Instagram handle from @isimostar, which references her now-estranged husband’s song “Isimo,” to @sarahmargaretqualley23.
Fans also noticed the Bleachers had removed the song “Margaret” from their “Bleachers Forever” tour setlist.
The last time the band performed the song, inspired by the actress, was during their June 13 show, per Setlist.fm.
And on Wednesday morning, other eagle-eyed fans noticed the “Maid” actress had deleted their wedding photos, and wiped all traces of her husband, from her Instagram account.
The only image Qualley left of Antonoff is one she posted of them laughing together last February.
However, they still follow each other on the social media platform.
The music producer and the “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood” star were last publicly spotted together at the 2026 Grammys in February.
