Jennifer Lopez says she feels ‘misunderstood at times’ amid Ben Affleck split rumors

Jennifer Lopez said she feels “misunderstood at times” while comparing herself to her character in her new sci-fi flick, “Atlas.”

“We are so different because she, like, doesn’t wear any of her emotions,” she explained to People at the film’s Los Angeles premiere Monday night. “She’s so closed off and I am too much emotion sometimes.” 

Lopez further reflected that she, like her “Atlas” character, is “very strong and sure of what [she] feel[s].”

“At times. She was very sure,” she noted. “She was like, ‘This is what’s happening, please listen to me. Please tell me.’ And felt very misunderstood at times. I can also relate to that a bit.”

The 54-year-old star’s comments about feeling misunderstood come as she navigates split rumors with Ben Affleck, whom she married in July 2022.

Last week, Page Six learned that Affleck, 51, was house hunting in the Los Angeles area, while Lopez was spotted browsing real estate on her own.

An insider, however, claimed she is interested in buying an investment property and her search has nothing to do with the divorce chatter.

Furthermore, a source claimed to Us Weekly that the pair started experiencing intense marital woes “a few months ago.”

The fact that the “On the Floor” hitmaker “liked” an Instagram post describing a partner with unhealthy traits only fueled the split speculation.

And although the “Gigli” costars were spotted together for the first time in more than a month last Thursday and then once again at a movie event on Sunday, a person close to Affleck’s camp exclusively told Page Six Monday that he’s reevaluating their union.

“If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would,” the source said.

“He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work.”

Similarly, a source told “Entertainment Tonight” Tuesday that Affleck feels Lopez “has a hard time feeling satisfied and that’s one of the issues they’re facing.”

The pair first sparked breakup rumors when Lopez attended the 2024 Met Gala solo on May 6.

She also attended the “Atlas” premiere Monday evening alone. However, her wedding band was on full display.

It was later confirmed that Affleck was too busy filming his next project, “The Accountant 2” to make it to either event.
