Trace Cyrus calls out brother Braison for insisting dad Billy Ray is ‘healthy’ after family concern: ‘Man up’

Trace Cyrus called out his brother Braison Cyrus for insisting their father, Billy Ray Cyrus, is in a good place these days.
After the country star’s disastrous performance at President Trump’s post-inauguration Liberty Ball earlier this week, Trace — who is sober — revealed he and members of his family are “genuinely worried” about the patriarch.
Braison, however, is not among them.
“I’ve spent the last year getting to know my dad better than I ever have,” he posted via his Instagram Story Friday.
“After he spent a week in the hospital in the fall, I’m grateful that my dad is happy, healthy and ready to make this record.”
The 30-year-old — who will be producing Billy Ray’s forthcoming album — added, “It’s a rare opportunity to make something this special and tell my dad’s story through music. Can’t wait to finally share it.”
Trace, 35, then took to his Instagram Story to respond to a fan who had asked, “Braison is posting your dad is happy and healthy. I’m confused?”
The Metro Station guitarist replied cryptically, “Birds of a feather flock together.”
Atop a subsequent video of him working out, Trace continued, “Braison I can help you too. Damn. Man up boys.”
He then shared a selfie of Braison with a bushy beard and windblown hair alongside a crying emoji and reminded his followers, “That’s my YOUNGER brother by the way..”
At Monday’s event in Washington, DC, a disheveled-looking Billy Ray, 63, stumbled through his short set and at one point asked the audience whether they wanted him to “just get the hell off the stage.”
The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer subsequently issued an Instagram statement blaming faulty equipment, after which Trace posted a public plea to his father — and “idol” — to seek help.
Lamenting that he “barely recognize[s]” his dad now, Trace wrote in part, “It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you.”
With “tears in [his] eyes,” he went on, “You’re not healthy Dad & everyone is noticing it. … I hope you realize this message only comes from a place of love and also fear that the world may lose you far too soon. I love you Dad.”
Trace then disclosed he is “over a year and half clean from alcohol” and added, “I don’t know what you’re struggling with exactly but I think I have a pretty good idea & I’d love to help you if you would open up and receive the help.”
Even Billy Ray’s ex-wife Firerose shares his loved ones’ concerns.
Reps for the “Old Town Road” crooner have not responded to Page Six’s repeated requests for comment.
Instead, Billy Ray and Braison announced their joint project, which will be released in the summer and include songs co-written by the father-son duo.
