âHesitantâ Tiger Woods âfriend-zonedâ Vanessa Trump before âfeelings started developingâ

Tiger Woods was “hesitant” to take his relationship with Vanessa Trump to the next level, a source within Woods’ inner circle exclusively tells Page Six.
“He was hesitant at first because he’s got a good relationship with [President Donald] Trump, and wasn’t sure if this would cause any problems,” the insider shares.
“He friend-zoned her; they just talked about the kids and kept things pretty platonic and casual. Then, sure enough, feelings started developing on both sides.”
Reports of Woods’ relationship with Vanessa, 47, surfaced on Thursday. As we previously reported, a source claimed the pair are “not too serious” but their romance is “heading in that direction.”
“They have a lot in common. They’ve both gotten used to public scrutiny. They both know how to keep their private life private. They’re both parents,” the insider added.
The source added that the pair is “a good match” due to their shared “level-headed” nature.
“They like to avoid drama, they share a lot of the same values,” the source added, noting that the golfer, 49, has “always tried to date girls who just weren’t right for him.”
The insider also shared that Vanessa is “not starstruck” by the legendary golfer’s fame, adding that she would “date him even if he weren’t famous.”
“Fame doesn’t interest her; that’s what he likes best about her … We’ll see where it goes,” they said.
Details as to how the couple came to be remain unclear, but both stars reside in Florida. Vanessa’s eldest daughter, Kai Trump, is also a golfer. The 17-year-old has verbally committed to the University of Miami where she will play golf for the school.
Kai, whose dad is Donald Trump Jr., also reportedly attends the same school as Woods’ children, Sam, 17, and Charlie, 16, at the the Benjamin School in Palm Beach, Fla.
It appears that Vanessa made her interest in Woods known on social media.
Vanessa “liked” several of Woods’ posts on social media over the last few months, including photos and videos with his children and a special tribute that the athlete posted honoring his mother, Kultida Woods, who died in February.
