Aaron Sorkin roasted for ‘absurd’ tan at ‘The Social Reckoning’ screening

Someone’s been sorkin’ up the sun.

Aaron Sorkin joined stars Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White for a gala screening of his latest film, “The Social Reckoning,” in London Tuesday — but all eyes were on the screenwriter’s shockingly bronzed skin.

The comments section of Sony Pictures UK’s Instagram post documenting the event quickly devolved into an all-out roast, with people describing Sorkin’s extreme tan as “absurd,” “extra crispy” and even “a hate crime.”

“He did not have to hit the beach that hard,” one joked.

“Aaron Sorkin? More like Aaron Sore Skin from all the tanning, am I right?” another cracked, while a third chimed in with, “Bro went in the tanning booth and turned it up to George Hamilton.”

“I asked for my Sorkin medium rare,” a fourth quipped, while someone playfully renamed the Oscar winner “Aaron Scorchin.”

Sorkin, 65, isn’t the first Hollywood star to take tanning too far; Jennifer Aniston, Chrissy Teigen and Brooklyn Decker have all shared their own spray tan fails on social media, while Blake Lively and Christina Aguilera‘s past bronzing blunders have made headlines.

And after shocking fans with her crispy complexion at the 2018 Met Gala, Selena Gomez reflected on the beauty snafu in a 2021 Vogue video.

“[I] put on some of this tanning lotion and it looked really beautiful and very even,” the star recalled. “As the evening kept going on it was getting a little darker and darker.”

At one point, Gomez looked as a photo of herself and realized she looked “completely orange.”

“I was like, ‘This is going to be terrible because I’m going to get eaten alive about this,’” she said.

Luckily, Gomez got the last laugh, posting a video of herself fleeing the museum with the caption, “Me when I saw my pictures from MET.”

Here’s hoping Sorkin manages to find some light in this dark situation, too.
