Al Roker Shares Adorable Family Photos from ‘Beautiful’ First Easter as a Grandfather

Al Roker just celebrated his first Easter as a grandfather!

The Today show weatherman, 69, shared a sweet series of photos on Instagram Sunday, celebrating alongside his family. 

In the first photo, Roker stood in the center, with his wife, Deborah Roberts, and their son, Nicholas Roker, 21, to his right. On his left, daughter Courtney Roker, 36, and her husband, Wesley Laga held baby daughter Sky Clara, 9 months.

Courtney — whom Roker shares with ex-wife Alice Bell, to whom he was married from 1984 to 1994 — married Laga on June 4, 2021. In July 2023, the pair welcomed their first child, Sky.

Roker shared a photo of his other daughter, Leila Roker, 25, her boyfriend and their dog, Clouseau, seemingly video-calling the family.

The father of three also shared a solo picture holding his first grandchild, in which they are both looking at the camera. The final image includes Roberts, 63, holding Sky up to her face as the two look at each other.

“Skye!!!!!! ❤,” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie wrote in the comment section. “That baby!!!! ❤❤❤,” added The Office alum Kate Flannery.

Roker also shared a photo of the family gathered around the dinner table for their Easter meal — with Sky in her high chair.

“Been awhile since I made an Easter meal. Having family around makes the effort all the more worth it,” he captioned the post.

Roker has shared several photos of Sky since her birth in July. He shared a sweet family photo celebrating his granddaughter’s first Thanksgiving — and her first time at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

A few short weeks later, he shared several photos of the Roker family celebrating Christmas with the newest addition. Prior to the celebration, Roker and Roberts told PEOPLE how “exciting” the holiday would be with their “new grandbaby.”

“You know, there’s a new grandbaby. So that’s kind of exciting,” Roker said. “It’s gonna be a different kind of Christmas. So, very excited.”

“I think for us it’s really just family,” Roberts added. “It’s really all about family and our family is so spread out that we don’t have to gather as much as we’d like to during the year. So this year it really is just about tight-knit.”
