Alix Earle Reveals Her Mom Was Diagnosed With Cancer During ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Filming
Alix Earle’s latest confession makes her experience competing on Dancing With the Stars even more impressive.
After Earle, 25, revealed on social media that her mom is battling cancer, one fan speculated that she found out in the middle of filming last fall.
“This is what she was struggling with during DWTS..😭,” one user wrote via TikTok on Sunday, January 11.
Earle saw the post and replied, “We found out abt halfway through the season and she still showed up every week 💗.”
During season 34 of Dancing With the Stars, which premiered in September 2025, Earle competed with her partner Val Chmerkovskiy. After earning high scores from the judges and votes from America week after week, the duo made it all the way to the finals in November 2025.
Days after the finale, Earle opened up about her experience on the competition show and revealed the “scariest” part of the show ending is that there is “a lot of change happening” in her personal life.
“I thought about it at times,” she said via TikTok on November 28, 2025, “but I didn’t want to just say things for the sake of making a really entertaining package and putting these stories in other people’s hands.”
While some speculated that the social media influencer was addressing relationship problems with her then-boyfriend Braxton Berrios, many fans now understand it was about much more than a guy. (In December 2025, Us confirmed that Earle and Berrios, 30, broke up after two years of dating.)
“I am just excited. I feel like I’m starting a new life,” Earle added in the TikTok. “Thank you for all of your support. It’s insane how much you’ve supported me on this journey. It means the absolute world to me.”
Although Earle is expected to participate in select dates of the Dancing With the Stars 2026 live tour, the immediate focus appears to be on her mom.
In her recent TikTok post, Earle shared a collection of memories with her mom as she faced her diagnosis.
“Go momma! So proud and inspired by you 🤍,” she wrote via TikTok on Sunday. “No challenge you can’t face and come back stronger @alisamearle13 love you.”
Soon after sharing her family’s news, Earle received support from many fans and followers, including Heidi Montag, Zara Larsson and Emilie Kiser.
“Sending love and prayers for your mom sis🙏💖,” Paris Hilton wrote in the comments section. The Bachelor’s Kelsey Anderson added, “Sending all the positive energy and love ❤️she’s got this !!”
Earle first shared in December 2025 that her mom was in the hospital to meet with doctors. At the time, the influencer explained that her mom is “going through something right now with her health.”
In recent days, however, Earle’s mom has been able to spend time at home with her family.
In a TikTok posted on Monday, January 12, Earle revealed she was able to watch the end of Heated Rivalry alongside her mom in New Jersey. “I wanted to show my mom the show and we were just all crying at the ending,” she shared.
