Who says there aren’t good deals to be had in Soho anymore?

Dave Chappelle secured the perfect deal on an art piece while he was walking around in the downtown neighborhood on Thursday.

The comedian was on his way to beloved brunch spot Sadelle’s when he spotted artist LeRone Wilson passing by with one of his original bees wax sculptures in hand, we’re told.

Chappelle stopped Wilson and commissioned his work on the spot. But Wilson told us the comic “was so engaging… I just gave it to him, and told him not to worry about.”

Wilson, who counts Swizz Beatz, Tommy Hilfiger, and Giancarlo Esposito, as his collectors, told us the piece he gave Chappelle is worth $7,000. He plans to make Chappelle a larger piece, only this time he’ll ask for payment.

Their spontaneous run-in was a reunion of sorts. The pair have met before. In 2021 we reported Chappelle wished Wilson a happy Father’s Day near the same location.

The comedian is regularly spotted in the neighborhood, often with local pal Chris Rock, whenever he comes to New York from his home in Ohio.

Meanwhile, Chappelle’s old show has been on his mind. In a new interview with the Associated Press, he opened up about revisitng his hit Comedy Central series “Chappelle Show,” which he famously walked away from in 2005 leaving a $50-million-deal on the table.

“If you’d asked me that question a year ago, I’d have told you absolutely not,” he told the AP. “But in the last few weeks … I’m considering it.”
