Ashley Tisdale enjoys self-care day as ‘toxic’ mom group drama rages on
Ashley Tisdale enjoyed a self-care day more than a week after she stirred drama by exposing her “toxic” mom friend group.
On Tuesday, the “High School Musical” actress took to her Instagram Stories to share that she enjoyed a “little massage and facial day” amid all of the drama.
In one post, Tisdale shared an image of four singing bowls, which are often used in meditation practices. In another snap, the mom of two showed the sun shining through linen curtains.
“Just a little massage and facial day,” she captioned the post on her Stories.
The “Suite Life of Zack & Cody” alum, 40, then posted a selfie of herself basking in the sun, seemingly after finishing her massage and facial.
“Unreal! @sarachase thank you for the best treat,” she wrote over the selfie.
Tisdale’s relaxing day comes after she wrote a scathing essay for The Cut, exposing her “toxic” mom group of friends, which included Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore, Meghan Trainor and more.
In the essay, the actress reflected on why she didn’t feel “cool enough” after she was excluded from hangouts with members of the mom group.
“I realized that there were group text chains that didn’t include everyone, which led to cliques forming within the larger group,” she alleged.
“And after the third or fourth time of seeing social media photos of everyone else at a hangout that I didn’t get invited to, it felt like I wasn’t really part of the group after all.”
She added, “At that point, I had to ask myself, ‘Why am I still showing up for this?’”
Several of the women and their partners in the group subtly responded to Tisdale’s shade, including Duff’s husband, Matthew Koma, who called Tisdale the “most self-obsessed tone deaf person on earth.”
Samii Ryan, a clothing designer who is part of the mom group, seemingly responded to Tisdale’s shady essay by reposting a video of a man mouthing the words to Megan Thee Stallion’s 2022 hit “Her.”
“I don’t care if these bitches don’t like me, ’cause, like, I’m pretty as f–k,” Megan raps on the track. “Just the other day, I heard a hoe say / Matter of fact, what could a hoe say? / With a face like this and a bitch this paid, s–t, what could a hoe say?”
Ryan wrote atop the clip, “2026 mood.”
Moore, 41, also cryptically commented on the drama, saying that she has “had to sort of mourn in a way” how some of her friendships have “changed.”
