Beyoncé denies she’s going on tour after Netflix halftime show
Beyoncé denied reports that she is going on tour next year after her highly anticipated Christmas Day halftime show.
“Untrue. Nothing to report here. Whenever there is any news, you will hear it directly from the source first,” the singer’s longtime publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, wrote on X Wednesday.
The clarification came hours after the well-respected music industry trade publication Hits Daily Double reported that Beyoncé was “starting to promote her upcoming tour, which should be enormous.”
Sources subsequently told the US Sun that Queen Bey was “set to unveil a series of UK stadium gigs for next summer,” including five dates at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
Beyoncé, 43, has had massive success with her latest album, “Cowboy Carter,” which she released in March.
The country-leaning project recently scored 11 Grammy nominations, including album of the year, making the superstar the most-recognized artist in the awards show’s history with a career total of 99 nods.
Despite the acclaim surrounding “Cowboy Carter,” Beyoncé has yet to announce plans to take it on the road.
She will, however, perform songs from the genre-bending record for the first time on Dec. 25 when her halftime show during the Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans game airs live on Netflix.
The streaming service teased last week that the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer will be joined by “some special guests” who were featured on “Cowboy Carter.”
While Netflix did not name who will join Beyoncé onstage at NRG Stadium in her hometown of Houston, the album included collaborations with Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Miley Cyrus, Post Malone and Shaboozey, among others.
The music icon’s most recent tour, “Renaissance,” saw her perform 56 shows across North America and Europe from May to October 2023.
The trek grossed a staggering $579 million and was chronicled in a concert film that brought in an additional $44.4 million at the box office.
