Bold and the Beautiful’s original Ridge Forrester, Ronn Moss, is proudly embracing his gray locks.

“Since I let my natural grey hair go wild recently for the western movie I shot in May, I’ve been loving it,” Moss, 73, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, August 3, alongside a snap of his new look. “What do you guys think, should I let it stay this way or should I go back to a salt and pepper style?”

Moss’ post featured two photos of him rocking a full head of gray hair. One was him out in nature shirtless while the other was a selfie of him at the beach. He also included a throwback snap of his previous hair color which was brown with some specks of gray.

Many fans took to the comments section to gush over Moss’ au naturel look.

“Leave your hair as it is, gray hair suits you well.👍😘,” one user wrote, while another replied, “Let it go the way it is. You are handsome either way. BTW you are missed on the Bold and the Beautiful.”

Moss appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful from 1987 to 2012 where he originated the role of Ridge Forrester. (Thorsten Kaye took over the character in 2013.)

Following his shocking exit, Moss spoke out about his decision to leave after 25 years on the soap.

“I’ve been through this many times on the show. How many times have we done this? It always keeps going because you give and take — it’s a give and take,” Moss said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly at the time. “Well, I got to a point where I couldn’t give anymore. I couldn’t give anymore. I’ve got to move to a place where my world is able to open up, and I needed that. I was sad to leave. It was really sad to leave, but I had to because of all the things that are going on, everything. I can’t pinpoint one specific thing because that would be unfair, that would diminish everything else.”

Moss added that a car accident he and his wife were involved in also played a factor in his decision to leave.

“I’ve never been in an accident in my entire life. I was stopped, completely stopped, in rush hour traffic, and somebody hit us so hard that it spun us around, took out a light post, took out everything around us, destroyed the brand-new truck that we had just gotten, which probably saved our lives,” he recalled to the outlet. “We had just come from a wonderful meeting of new beginnings. A wonderful meeting! And this told me: You’re not going this direction, you’re going this direction. You’re going the opposite direction now, Ronn, and if you don’t get it this time, if you don’t see what we’re trying to tell you here. That was one thing. We’re still kind of recouping from that one. It was enough of a knock to knock us both for a loop.”

Since his departure from the soap, Moss had roles on the series Familie, The Bay and more. He’s also continued with his music career as a member of the rock band Player.
