Brad Pitt demands Angelina Jolie turn over private emails in relentless legal battle

Brad Pitt filed court docs once again asking a judge to force his ex-wife Angelina Jolie to turn over private emails in their lengthy court battle.

Pitt and Jolie have been battling over their French winery, Château Miravel — which they purchased when they were married — since February 2022. In new court docs obtained by Page Six, the actor asked the judge to force Jolie to turn over her emails with her business manager, Terry Bird, her British publicists, Chloe Dalton and Arminka Helic, as well as two financial consultants.

The “F1” star stated in the docs that Jolie previously admitted in her own declaration that she regularly had conversations with Bird about “all aspects” of her business and professional life, including conversations about legal matters.

Jolie has refused to turn over their email communications, per Pitt’s request.

“[Jolie admitted] Bird ‘helped [her] identify additional issues on which to seek advice,’” the docs stated. “What Jolie is describing here are brainstorming sessions between non-lawyers. The fact that these brainstorming sessions may have followed or preceded advice from a lawyer on the same general topic or a related topic does not shield them from discovery.”

“[Jolie] has still produced only one internal email that even mentions the terms of the sale at the center of this case,” he also stated in the docs.

According to Pitt, the missing emails contain Bird’s communications “discussing the terms of the sale of her interest in Chateau Miraval to the Stoli Parties— the key transaction at issue in this litigation.”

Pitt also asked the judge to shut down Jolie’s demand that he pay her $33,000 — the amount Jolie asked the court to order him to pay her to cover her attorneys’ fees to oppose his original motion for her to turn over her private emails.

Jolie previously stated that she did not have to turn over the emails since it involved her discussing legal matters with others.

The actress’ lawyer, Paul Murphy, accused Pitt of “invading her privileged communications with her lawyers” in a statement to Page Six.

“This once again confirms that this lawsuit is the manifestation of Mr. Pitt’s years-long effort to harass and control Angelina,” Murphy stated.

In the “Maleficent” star’s Oct. 9 court filing obtained by Page Six, her lawyers explained why they were demanding Pitt pay her $33,000 in attorney fees.

“Jolie, through counsel, repeatedly asked Pitt to withdraw [the motion],” her lawyers argued in the docs. “She even warned him numerous times that if the Court denied Pitt’s motion, Jolie would ask the Court to order Pitt to pay Jolie’s attorneys’ fees opposing the motion.”

The attorneys continued, “Pitt still refused to withdraw it. Jolie thus requests that the Court order Pitt to reimburse her for the substantial attorneys’ fees she was forced to incur.”

Pitt is suing Jolie for her stake in the lavish French property, as he claimed she sold her share to the wine division of the Stoli Group without his permission. Jolie claimed she did not need his permission.
