Britney Spears defends living in messy mansion covered in dog poop
She doesn’t give a s–t.
Britney Spears is hitting back at critics who called her out for leaving dog poop on her mansion floor.
“Shame on those who judged my home in my pajamas !!!” the “… Baby One More Time” singer, 43, wrote in the caption of an Instagram post she shared Tuesday.
In typical Spears form, she then diverted her message to an unrelated topic, commenting on a photo of Justin Bieber and his son, Jack, that she shared alongside her post.
“I’m in love with this picture !!! So so beautiful !!!” she wrote.
The Grammy winner spoke out after a video she shared last month resurfaced online.
The original clip, posted via Instagram on Aug. 18, featured Spears singing while setting up a ring light. One of her dogs could be seen walking in the background near her living room and poop was on the floor.
The “Piece of Me” singer informed her followers at the time, though, that she was in the middle of “cleaning [her] house like no tomorrow.”
Despite Spears trying to quiet the noise, people around her are reportedly concerned for her.
An insider recently told the Daily Mail that the “Toxic” singer — who has a history of mental health issues and has spent time in mental health facilities — was “having an episode right now.”
“Her house is a mess,” another person added. “She doesn’t clean up after the dogs, she doesn’t have someone there cleaning every day, and she just isn’t functioning like an adult would function.”
The first source told the outlet that loved ones are hesitant to intervene, however, noting, “We are going to see her battle through it the way she has for years.
“Those close to her have seen this over and over again, and though it is monitored, they aren’t going to make any type of intervention,” the insider further explained.
In February 2023, over a year after Spears’ conservatorship was terminated, sources exclusively confirmed to Page Six that friends and family had planned an intervention — but it fell apart.
It appeared there had been some discourse within the inner circle at the time, as one source told us the ordeal was “unnecessary” and had been “overblown.”
