Brittany Cartwright and Brandon Hanson split 2 months after debuting relationship

Brittany Cartwright and Brandon Hanson have called it quits two months after debuting their relationship.

“Little side note, I’m single. We actually did not last,” Cartwright, 36, revealed during the Oct.10 episode of her “When Reality Hits” podcast, responding to a question from a fan about her “new boyfriend.”

“We were very good friends before we started dating,” she explained. “It was kind of like a whirlwind relationship. It went into the public way sooner than we ever would have wanted it to.”

The “Vanderpump Rules” alum cited “long distance” as the main reason for the break up, admitting that living in a different city than her partner wasn’t sustainable for her.

“I could not do the long distance and he’s got a lot of obligations with his three kids and jobs,” she said. “We lived three hours away, so it was too tough to keep it going.”

The reality star made it clear that she and her now-ex “really cared about each other” and ended “amicably.”

“Hopefully we can remain friends,” she said, “but it’s just something I didn’t see that was going to be able to continue in the future.”

The mom of one also shared that being single is what’s “best” for her since she “still [has] a lot of healing and learning to do” from her contentious divorce from Jax Taylor, which is yet to be finalized.

Cartwright filed for divorce from Taylor, 46, in August 2024 after five years of marriage. The exes share a 4-year-old son, Cruz, who was diagnosed with autism in April. She was granted full custody of him last year.

Cartwright and Hanson debuted their romance in August when they packed on the PDA during a Mexican getaway. They were first spotted at a Los Angeles event earlier in August, where the two got cozy enough to spark rumors of a relationship.

Hanson is currently separated as well and his estranged wife, Jasina Stanko, took to social media to blast her “husband’s” romance with the “Valley” star just a few days before their steamy vacation pics surfaced.

In a TikTok post about the duo’s budding relationship, Stanko wrote, “He’s my husband!!!” She then added in another comment, “That man is married.”

When a follower quipped if Stanko “dated” Hanson, too, she clarified, “I married him. You know him?”

Despite her claims, an insider exclusively told Page Six that the relationship status of Cartwright’s then-boyfriend is a lot more complex than it seems.

“Brittany’s new relationship comes at a time as they both are experiencing similar life changes,” the insider told us at the time. “Like Brittany, he is going through a divorce, and he and his ex have been separated for the past seven months.”

“The two have found comfort in each other as they’ve been navigating their respective divorces and personal life changes,” the insider concluded.

The Kentucky native clarified her relationship status with Hanson last month, telling TMZ, “We’re not technically boyfriend and girlfriend just yet,” noting that they’ve “known each other for 15 years” having met back in her home state.

She confessed at the time that, “he’s making [her] happy,” but they are “just seeing how it goes” and “focused on having fun.”
