Brooklyn Beckham won’t be at David Beckham’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony
David Beckham will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday but his estranged son Brooklyn will snub the ceremony, even though he lives just 20 minutes away, Page Six is told.
The former England soccer captain, 51 — who will be in the US for the duration of the World Cup — will be feted by pal Tom Cruise and his wife Victoria as the star is unveiled.
Brooklyn, 27, unleashed hell on his parents with a bitter rant on Instagram in January and told them to only contact him through his lawyer. One source says even if he did want to reconcile, his billionaire heiress wife, Nicola Peltz, would stand in the way.
“Even if he did want to see them at the Walk of Fame, Nicola would not take too kindly to it,” the source told Page Six.
Hot sauce entrepreneur Brooklyn has not seen his parents and three siblings in well over a year. Another insider familiar with the rift said he’s the driving force behind his decision adding, “Two things can be true; Nicola can be difficult and Brooklyn does not want to see his parents.”
Indeed, as we reported, Brooklyn found himself stuck between a rock and hard place before releasing his six-page social media message, which accused his parents of using him to make money for “Brand Beckham,” and of trying to “ruin” his marriage.
Brooklyn and Nicola last spent time with the Beckham clan over Christmas 2024.
Things escalated ahead of David’s 50th birthday last May when the couple flew to London, but did not join the family for any of the celebrations.
In January one insider claimed the root of the rift was Brooklyn’s wife, who fell out with Victoria before their wedding, asking, “What is Nicola trying to prove?”
However, Brooklyn later insisted he was the one responsible for cutting ties with his parents.
Page Six has reached out to reps for Brooklyn and the Beckhams for comment.
Victoria, 52, broke her silence about the fallout in an interview with the Wall Street Journal in April, saying, “We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children.”
Asked about her “challenging year” by “Today” hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones, the fashion designer refrained from name-dropping her eldest child — but did gush about her “love” for her four kids.
Victoria, who also has Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14, with David, insisted, “We always put our children first. We love our children so much and we’ve always really focused on protecting our children.”
The Spice Girls star went on to praise the “incredible people” she and her husband surround themselves with during “tough times.”
“We’re very close to my parents and David’s parents. We support each other through everything that we do.”
Brooklyn and Nicola, 31, live in a sprawling 4-bedroom, 6-bathroom “villa” they bought for more than $16 million on the exclusive Trousdale Estates, a star-studded enclave above Beverly Hills, where their neighbors include Beckham family friend, Sir Elton John and Justin and Hailey Bieber.
Their 7,000-square-foot home includes a wet bar, fitness center, home theater, infinity pool, outdoor kitchen, and rooftop lounge, plus over $100,000 worth of furniture and art that came with the original listing, according to Realtor.com.
The home was also purchased through an LLC linked to the Peltz family, whose patriarch is billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, and was secured with a mortgage of close to $13 million.
It’s only four miles from the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony where David will be celebrated. Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said, “David Beckham’s recognition with a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in the Sports Entertainment category comes at a fitting moment as the United States hosts the FIFA World Cup.
“Beckham’s role in elevating soccer’s profile in America and his lasting influence on sports, entertainment, and global culture make this honor especially meaningful,” added Martinez.
Famous people have to pay for their stars to be added to the Walk of Fame, with an $85,000 fee “for the creation and installation of the star,” as well as maintenance across the whole walk.
Hollywood star Cruise has long been close to the Beckhams; he and ex-wife Katie Holmes threw the couple a welcome to LA party when they moved to California for a short-lived stint back in July 2007.
They have remained great friends and Tom was seen looking merry as he left David’s 50th birthday bash in London with his then girlfriend, actress Ana de Armas, last May.
