It’s a seriously exciting time for Brooks Nader right now — not only is she in the middle of launching her new family reality show, Love Thy Nader, but she’s also embracing being single for the first time in her adult life.

The model and reality star, 28, recently finalized her divorce from husband Billy Haire after four years of marriage — but the pair first started dating way back in 2015, when Brooks was just 18. Since then, she’s been through a turbulent relationship with her Dancing With the Stars costar Gleb Savchenko, which ended in spectacular style while she was shooting the show. But since accusing Gleb of cheating on her — something he fiercely denies — Brooks has been enjoying single life.

“Loving it,” she told Us Weekly for our exclusive cover story. “I’ve never gotten to do this my whole life, so I love it.”

And Brooks is a woman who knows what she wants in her next love interest. “I’m looking for someone that’s really funny and entertaining, not boring,” she says. “That’s my numero uno — and just someone that gets along with my family, loves life, loves to travel and have fun, and is hard working and not lazy.”

Although her experience with Savchenko has put Brooks off dancers for life, the star says she wouldn’t rule out dating someone she works with again. “Like a male model?” she says. “I think I would. I would date a coworker, but I wouldn’t date a dancer again.”

On Freeform’s Love Thy Nader, we also get to know Brooks’ three, similarly gorgeous sisters, Mary Holland, 26, Grace Ann, 25, and Sarah Jane, 23, as they move in together in New York City. These girls are seriously tight — so of course, they have opinions about their big sister’s love life too. “I listen to it,” says Brooks. “We’re, like, codependent. And it gets hard because we’re all so intertwined. But eventually we’ll have to spread our wings. I love my sisters, but I feel like I’ve become their adopted mother. And I need children of my own, so y’all are going to have to find someone!”

Of course, this closeness means the sisters all felt Brooks’ heartache when things with Gleb turned toxic. “It was really tough,” she says. “It was someone that I trusted and cared about, and my sisters trusted too, my whole family trusted. It was just heartbreaking to go through that.”

The sisters are so close that Brooks sometimes even lets them at her very busy Instagram inbox. “It’s the new way of dating, I guess,” she says. “People slide in, and it’s fun. My sisters are like ‘Can I play with these DMs? And DM all these people back?’ So sometimes I’ll give them a little fun playtime on my phone!”

So, be warned — if you slide into Brooks’ DMs and get a reply, you could actually be talking to another member of the Nader gang!

Love Thy Nader premieres Tuesday, August 26, on Freeform at 9 p.m. ET, with all episodes streaming on Hulu the next day.
