Chris Brown was ordered to pay his former housekeeper $13 million after she was brutally attacked by his 200-pound dog in 2020.

Maria Avila won her lawsuit against the “Yo” crooner, whom she accused of negligence when his Caucasian Shepherd ripped out “large chunks of her skin” and deformed her face at his Tarzana, California home, Billboard reported Wednesday.

Avila, who was taking out the trash when she was attacked, also suffered from an arm injury and now has mobility issues.

Additionally, Avila’s husband, Oscar Olivo, and her sister, Patricia, were awarded $50,000 and $885,000, respectively as they were also working when the attack occurred.

According to the BBC, Brown, 37, testified in court and explained how he found Avila motionless and in “a lot of blood” after being mauled.

“The blood kind of freaked me out,” the “Run It!” emcee told the jury, admitting that he left the scene before first responders arrived per the alleged advice of his manager.

Brown claimed he wanted to avoid causing a media frenzy or his voice being heard on a 911 call.

The hitmaker also argued that the attack was partially Avila’s fault after she was warned about the dogs and told to go outside only when escorted by security, per the outlet.

Avila, however, denied this allegation.

Additionally, Brown claimed he got the dogs for security due to “stalker-type situations.”

Patricia’s attorney, Michael C. Murphy Jr., celebrated the victory, telling Billboard, “After more than five years of litigating against Chris Brown, we are thrilled that we were able to get justice for our client, Patricia.”

“We are so happy for her and her family after everything they went through on that horrible day,” the lawyer added. “It was an honor to represent her.”

A rep for Brown wasn’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.

The R&B musician has recently been at the center of legal issues, including his May 2025 arrest, stemming from when he allegedly hit music producer Abe Diaw in the head with a tequila bottle in 2023.

Diaw filed a lawsuit against Brown in 2023, alleging that the latter “inflicted severe and lasting injuries.”
