Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow’s Daughter Apple, 21, Surprises Crowd in Nashville as She Sings on Stage with Band

Apple Martin is proving the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

The 21-year-old daughter of Coldplay singer Chris Martin, 48, and actress Gwyneth Paltrow, 53, joined the band Jade Street in Nashville for one of their performances. Wearing a plain white tank top and a black mini skirt, Apple could be seen singing along with the band on stage in a video posted to TikTok.

The band also shared photos to Instagram after the concert, tagging Apple in the post. “🦦🦦🦦,” Apple wrote back in the comments.

The model officially makes her music debut with Jade Street’s upcoming song “Satellite,” out Tuesday, Oct. 28.

Back in April, Apple spoke with Interview Magazine for her magazine debut and was asked by the outlet if she’s majoring in drama while at Vanderbilt University. “No,” she replied, laughing.

“I’m a law, history and society major, but I wish I would’ve taken — maybe I’ll take a theater course before I leave,” she continued. “It’s a fun balance between my very different extracurriculars and my major.”

Although she’s not technically majoring in theater, Apple participated in a show last semester with an extracurricular group and, at the time of the interview, was getting her cast’s costumes together.

“It’s really busy because after spring break I have tech week and I have to get everyone’s costumes ready for the show,” she said.

“I’m in the lovely Vanderbilt Original Cast, the esteemed cabaret theater group. This semester’s show is a musical parody of Love Island called Love on an Island. It’s so fun. The songs are phenomenal,” she added.

At the time, Apple noted that she’s not sure what she wants to do with her life in the long-term, but added that she loves theater.

“I would love to do theater because I adore it so much,” she said. “I’ve obviously never done film before, but I’ve been trying to get involved in student films. I was born a theater kid.”

“I have a very low voice so whenever we’re doing harmonies, it’ll be like, ‘Alright, it’s the boys and Apple,'” Apple continued, laughing. “I’m singing my absolute favorite song this semester, which I’m so excited about. I’m definitely not the best in the org, but I love it.”

Alongside theater, Apple has also started dipping her toes into the modeling industry. Fashion house self-portrait announced its collaboration with Apple in September, marking the first time she’s been the face of a brand.

The campaign was revealed through a series of “self-portraits” shot by Apple in which she posed in a mirror wearing a white T-shirt with the label’s name and a pair of red shorts. In a post made to self-portrait’s Instagram, Apple shared the news in a casual selfie video.

“It is me, miss Apple Blythe Alison Martin, coming to you from the floor in a gorg self-portrait little baby tee and these cute ass earrings,” she said in the clip. “And I’m so excited to be the new Miss self-portrait and for the campaign to come out.”

In a separate post, the brand wrote in a caption, “Welcome to the family @applemartin.”
