Ciara Miller and Maura Higgins join ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 35
“Dancing With the Stars” has officially been renewed for a 35th season this fall, with two reality stars heading up the competition.
The series’ first two celebrity contestants are “Summer House” star Ciara Miller and “The Traitors” personality Maura Higgins, per an announcement at Wednesday’s Get Real event, according to Variety.
Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro will host, with Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli appearing as judges.
A full cast list — as well as pro dance partners for Miller and Higgins — have yet to be released.
Last season, Robert Irwin and his pro partner Witney Carson clinched the famed Mirrorball Trophy after triumphing over Alix Earle and pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy.
Miller made headlines this past month after her ex-boyfriend West Wilson and ex-BFF Amanda Batula — both “Summer House” co-stars — confirmed their secret romance via social media.
The spurned Bravo star, who was seen slumped outside a New York City Hermés boutique in the moments after the joint statement dropped, also appeared on “The Traitors” during Season 3.
The dance competition opens up a new sector of reality TV for Miller, who recently said she’s “thankful” for the genre that made her famous.
“I want to be clear: I’m always grateful and thankful for reality TV,” she told Glamour magazine in an interview published last week.
“I feel like I’ve met my greatest friends from reality TV. And it’s truly taught me so much about myself and who I am and what I can endure. It’s made me change in the best of ways. It’s given me the confidence that I have here today and some of the greatest moments of my life. I wouldn’t have been able to buy my grandparents’ house if it weren’t for reality TV, so I’m really thankful for it.”
Higgins, meanwhile, took second place on Season 4 of Peacock’s hit show after being betrayed by series pal Rob Rausch.
She’s also well-known for appearing in “Love Island: Season 5” and hosting “Love Island USA: Aftersun” and “Love Island Games: Aftersun.”
The Irish model brings a sense of confidence to “DWTS,” having once said of “The Traitors” that she was “1,000,000% convinced that I was winning the show.”
“I said to the camera, ‘Just give me my money. I’ve won.’ I was that sure,” she said in a February interview with Elite Daily, adding that despite her loss to Rausch, she’s “not a sore loser.”
