Cody Simpson said he “can’t walk or talk” after suffering a horrifying double injury.

“The universe is serving it to me this year! An update on where I’ve been: I’ve been on and off vocal rest for close to 3 months trying to heal a damaged vocal cord,” he wrote on Instagram Monday.

“We decided to operate to aid the recovery, then I dislocated my knee rehearsing for a new music video and we had to push surgery back to let my knee settle,” Simpson added.

“I can’t walk or talk for some time now, and no singing or dancing for months to come.”

The former competitive swimmer, 29, said he has been “pushing” his body and mind continuously for years.

“I’m taking time to reflect and understand this for what it is: forced rest,” he wrote.

“The album and live shows have to wait, but I’ve got some work to share while I’m down for the count. You can’t hold me down! I’ll be back stronger ❤️,” Simpson concluded.

The “La Da Dee” singer shared an image of himself walking on crutches and also shared a video of himself falling and hurting his leg during rehearsals.

He also posted a clip of the doctor telling him he had to go on complete vocal rest for weeks.

Despite the injuries, Simpson said the “silver lining” was that he was able to finish some of his singles before he got hurt.

In May, Simpson revealed he suffered a hemorrhage on one of his vocal cords while recording new music.

The “Surfers Paradise” crooner said the injury occurred “due to my overzealousness in the studio singing through a sinus infection I didn’t know I had.”

Simpson said he assumed he was feeling fatigued and kept coming to the studio until he could no longer sing.
