Craig Melvin spoke out about the “Today” intruder incident on social media Thursday, telling his followers he’s OK.

Melvin posted on Instagram, writing, “Hey everyone. I’ve heard from so many of you over the last few hours. I’m doing just fine.”

He continued, “Thanks for reaching out. I’m looking forward to seeing you tomorrow morning on @todayshow.”

Earlier in the day, Page Six confirmed that a man seeking Al Roker was arrested after confronting Melvin in the stairway at the NBC show’s New York City headquarters.

The intruder, who we’re told was wearing a backpack, slipped past security and lunged at Melvin while hurling a racial slur during the 8-10 second interaction.

Sources told The Post, he demanded face time with Roker, 71, and called Melvin, 47, the N-word. After Melvin called security, the man was detained and arrested.

Melvin and Roker went on air shortly after and didn’t address the incident.

The New York Police Department confirmed to Page Six that they have someone in custody.

“On Thursday, July 16, 2026, at approximately 0857 hours, a uniformed officer assigned to 30 Rockefeller Center was alerted to a disorderly individual inside the building,” a statement read.

“Immediately thereafter, the responding officer entered into the building and placed the individual in custody without incident. There were no injuries reported, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.”

“Today” addressed the “security incident” in a statement to Page Six on Thursday afternoon.

“An individual entered an unauthorized area in a vestibule near Studio 1A,” the statement read. “The person approached anchor Craig Melvin, who alerted security.”

The NBC show confirmed the intruder “was detained and taken into custody by law enforcement without further incident,” and that “there was no altercation” or injuries.

“TODAY is cooperating fully with law enforcement as they investigate the matter,” the statement added.

Sources told us the “Today” staff is reeling following the incident.

“They were already on edge because of Savannah,” an insider said, referencing Savannah Guthrie’s mom Nancy Guthrie’s February disappearance.

The source added, “He could have stabbed Craig. He could have planted a bomb. It’s f–king insane.”

Melvin confirmed Wednesday he’ll be off “Today” next week for a pre-planned summer vacation.

Former U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team player and NBC’s lead MLS analyst Taylor Twellman will fill in for Melvin.

Guthrie, meanwhile, announced Thursday she’ll be absent from the show for a “few weeks” to film NBC’s new Wordle series.

She was off “Today” in February and March following her mom’s apparent kidnapping.
