Cruz Beckham’s Girlfriend Praises David and Victoria Beckham, Says They ‘Support Each Other’s Ambitions’

Cruz Beckham’s girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, is celebrating David and Victoria Beckham.

On Tuesday, Nov. 4, the soccer legend, 50, was knighted by King Charles for his services to sport and charity in an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle. 

The following day, Apostel, 29, shared a few Instagram photos with Cruz, 20, and penned a heartfelt message to her boyfriend’s parents.

“There’s nothing quite as beautiful as seeing deserving and truly GOOD people achieve their dreams,” her caption began. “What an inspiration to everyone to always keep going and never lose your character, drive but also kindness. no matter how crazy a dream is or how long it could take.” 

Apostel remarked that the “most inspiring thing” about the Beckhams’ marriage is to watch how they both “support each other’s ambitions.” She added, “You’re dedicated not only to yourselves reaching your maximum potential but also, each other. and you celebrate each win as if it was your own.” 

She saluted the couple for mastering “the balance between that and just plain love and family time every day,” adding that “there’s nothing more aspirational than that.” She concluded with a congratulatory message for the entire Beckham family.

Apostel included several selfies of herself and Cruz showing off their sophisticated looks. Cruz’s ensemble featured a burgundy velvet blazer, while Apostel donned a silk orange open-back dress. 

The series of snaps concluded with a photo of Cruz, Romeo, 23, Harper, 14, Victoria, 51, and David at the knighting ceremony. The couple also shares son Brooklyn, 26, who was absent from the photos.

In the comment section, Victoria expressed gratitude for Apostel’s post, writing, “Your beautiful words mean so much x we love u xx.”

Months before David’s ceremony, Victoria told Elle, that their family loves to support one another. “We’re a very traditional family, much more than I think people would realize,” she said. Her sentiments seemed to oppose the ongoing family drama amid reports of tension within her extended family, including her son Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham.

“That’s what we do. We all support each other,” Victoria said. “We always show up for each other.”

Speculation surrounding Victoria and David’s seemingly tense relationship with Brooklyn and Nicola has been ongoing for years. 

Brooklyn missed David’s 50th birthday celebration in May and was noticeably absent at his father’s knighting ceremony and the recent premiere of Victoria’s Netflix docuseries, Victoria Beckham. However, Victoria gave Brooklyn a special nod while thanking her children during a speech.

After Brooklyn and Nicola missed David’s birthday event and other Beckham family functions, a source told PEOPLE that although their relationship is strained, it doesn’t have to be permanent.

“The relationship is definitely not beyond repair,” the source said. “They love and are always there for him. They’re just hurt and disappointed that he’s now playing no part in family life.”
