Dave Portnoy is quietly shopping a book

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy is shopping a book, Page Six has exclusively learned.
Portnoy’s agency UTA is repping the tome, sources tell us.
Details of the book are being kept under wraps, and it’s so far unclear if the project is a memoir.
The new book would not technically be Portnoy’s first.
He had a best-seller in 2016, “Sharks Have Feelings Too,” which was sold to benefit conservation organization Save the Sharks.
Portnoy famously started Barstool as a Boston-area sports zine distributed to commuters.
After successfully expanding to the digital realm, Portnoy later sold majority stakes of his bro bible to Peter Chernin’s Chernin Group and then to Penn Entertainment before the so-called “El Presidente” of Barstool got back control in 2023.
The brand also made strides in the podcasting space, having a hand in the careers of breakouts like Alex Cooper and Brianna Chickenfry, among others.
Portnoy has also courted plenty of controversy, becoming a leading pop culture and political pundit on personalities ranging from Elon Musk to Taylor Swift.
He’s also a force in the foodie world with his “One Bite Pizza Reviews” series.
