Celebrity Big Brother winner David Potts has revealed his true feelings about Louis Walsh.
David, 30, came out on top after appearing on the ITV show, beating the likes of Nikita Kuzmin, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Colson Smith and Levi Roots. The former Ibiza Weekender star instantly became a firm favourite amongst the public before sailing all the way through to the final and recently summed up Loius with the following seven words: “He wanted to play that panto villain.”
But while he was in the house, David also became known for his love of hotpants and was frequently seen with tiny shorts on exposing his bare legs. In a candid admission, he’s now opened up about his true feelings about former X Factor judge Louis Walsh and his decision to snub him.
Since returning to normal life, David and a few fellow co-stars have been engaging in discussions via a WhatsApp group. Louis, 71, however, is not part of that group chat. Reflecting on his bond with Louis, David said: “We’d take the mick out of each other.”
He went on to tell new magazine!: “It was all very nudge, nudge, wink, wink. He wanted to play that panto villain. We’d just wind each other up, but it always came from a good place. And let me tell you, Louis is a massive softie at heart.” But the pair aren’t that close outside of the house as David revealed he didn’t get Louis’ phone number.
“No! Actually, it’s me that’s not given him mine yet,” he exclaimed, adding: “Because I don’t want him mithering me.” But there is one positive thing to come out of David’s time in the house. He and his new pal Fern Britton often communicate privately away from the group chat and he’s revealed he would be prepared to double date with the former This Morning star.
The reality star explained: “Look, she’s single, I’m single – we can get on a double date in Cornwall [where Fern lives]. I think I need to give Cornwall a go for the men because I’ve run out in Bolton. There’s nobody here for me!” Fern was married to TV chef Phil Vickery between 2000 and 2020, with the announcement of their split sending shockwaves through the entertainment industry.
Despite remaining in contact with most of his co-stars, David has revealed he’s not spoken to Ekin-Su once. The former Love Island star came under fire for her actions in the house and during an appearance on Big Brother’s Late and Live. The reality personality claimed that she was unfairly edited during the final cut of the programme.
