Emily Ratajkowski attempts to style the ‘worst haircut’ of her life: ‘It’s basically a mullet’

Emily Ratajkowski is in her mullet era — but not by choice.

Last week, the model posted a TikTok video showing viewers the “worst haircut” of her life, and now she’s sharing an update on the shaggy ‘do.

“For those who are not familiar, we have bangs starting from the back of my head, so it’s basically a mullet,” she said in another video on the app, describing the choppy look. “This is air dried, by the way,” Ratajkowski added.

The clip then cut to Ratajkowski blowing her bangs with a Dyson Airwrap ($600). “No,” she said shaking her head after seeing the results.

The “My Body” author then went in with a curing wand, wrapping a section of her bangs around the hot tool. “Apparently curling it hides bad haircuts, like curly hair can hide it,” Ratajkowski explained.

Ratajkowski, who has rocked bob cuts in the past, then revealed the moment she realized it was a bad look.

“My friends were low-key concerned that I was stepping outside and wasn’t more upset. They kept being like ‘you’re handling it really well,’” she recalled.

She curled the rest of her head, admitting she “wasn’t mad” about the look as she’s always wanted curly hair. Still, she let out another, “No.”

“I’m going to lose my job,” she joked, referring to her deal with haircare brand Kérastase while brushing the curls. “One word I’d never like to hear again is shaggy.”

Luckily, she turned to Kérastase’s Genesis Hair Serum ($62), which many reviewers say helps with hair growth. “Yes, this is now an ad mother f—kers,” she whispered to the camera.

According to Ratajkowski, a friend walked in in the midst of her hair appointment, commenting, “You’re brave.” The model added while she was clipping her bangs back, “I just let him go for it,” referring to her hairstylist. “I put a lot of trust in this person.”

One follower quipped, “what does your hairdresser do for a living?” Another joked, “I think the hairdresser was just jealous and wanted to mess it up 😭😭”

However, many approve of the “mullet” hairstyle. “IT LOOKED SOOO GOOD CURLY!!!,” one shared, while a second added, “no wait, it honestly looks so good here!”

Though Ratajkowski may still be experimenting with her new look, that’s not stopping her from hitting the streets of New York City.

On Saturday, she brought her son Sylvester, 5, to the park, wearing her brunette hair in tighter curls, including her new bangs.

Ratajkowski kept her look casual for the afternoon outing, pairing a gray hoodie with navy pinstriped trousers.
