Emotional Jaime King sells autographs from LA apartment after being ‘blindsided’ by divorce
Jaime King appeared emotional in her first sighting since her estranged husband, Austin Sosa, “blindsided” her by filing for divorce.
Page Six obtained exclusive photos of the actress wiping away tears and smoking a cigarette on the balcony of her new Hollywood, Calif., apartment Tuesday.
She was dressed in a black turtleneck and had her blond hair pulled back into a low bun, opting for no makeup.
In one of the shots, King, 46, was sporting one hoop earring and one dangle earring, but she later removed them both. She did the same with a white bow in her hair.
Notably, she was not wearing her wedding ring.
The “Sin City” star seemed to be on speaker phone with someone, as she held up her white-cased iPhone close to her mouth.
Two employees from online autograph marketplace Star Spot Signings soon arrived with items for her to sign.
Star Spot Signings packages and sells signed photos, posters and figurines for up to $150, with the personalities receiving a percentage of the sales.
Reps for King did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Last Thursday, Sosa, 34, filed for divorce after less than seven months of marriage, which took King by surprise.
According to the divorce petition, which we exclusively obtained on Friday, the former couple secretly tied the knot on April 23, 2025.
Sosa claimed they separated on November 11, 2025, and listed “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
“I was completely blindsided by the divorce filing, which came out of nowhere,” King told Page Six last Friday, claiming that she was with Sosa “the night before” he went to court.
While the “White Chicks” star acknowledged that they experienced “normal challenges” in their short-lived marriage, she “genuinely believed [they] were working on [their] relationship.”
Reps for Sosa did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
King never publicly said that she and the investment banker were married and kept details about their relationship under wraps.
In June 2025, she included him in the caption of an Instagram post but did not feature his photo in the carousel.
“My God, I am the luckiest and most great mother ever. Thank you to Pammy, Chase, Austin, Gwendolyn and Carlos. Family forever,” she gushed alongside four pictures of her with her sons, James, 12, and Leo, 10, whom she shares with her first husband, Kyle Newman.
The following month, King was photographed wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring, after which her reps told us, “Jaime is embracing a joyful new chapter with her engagement to Austin Sosa and is grateful for the kind messages of support.
“She’s especially happy to share this moment with her children, who have a loving bond with Austin and his family. As always, her sons remain her top priority, and she kindly asks for privacy as they move forward together with love and gratitude.”
Meanwhile, a source elaborated to People, “She is very close with [Sosa’s] family and was staying with his parents after she moved out of her Los Angeles apartment earlier this year.”
Then during an October 2025 appearance on the “Juicy Scoop” podcast, host Heather McDonald noted that her guest, King, was “recently engaged” before asking how she and Sosa met.
“We met through mutual friends,” King replied, agreeing that it’s an “exciting” time in her life.
The model filed for divorce from Newman in May 2020, leading to contentious proceedings. After she accused the filmmaker of abuse, he denied her allegations and claimed she was a “chronic drug addict and alcoholic.”
They settled their split in September 2023.
However, the following October, Newman, 49, accused King of being “strung out” and “drunk” while their kids were in her care.
Five months later — just one month before she wed Sosa — King lost physical custody of the boys after failing to complete a drug and alcohol rehab program; however, she was given supervised visitation rights.
Days later, the “devastated and embarrassed” mother of two was forced to move out of her LA rental home for owing thousands of dollars in back rent.
