Exes Denise Richards, Charlie Sheen hug it out in first red carpet appearance in 20 years
Exes Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen’s red carpet reunion was two decades in the making.
The former couple was all smiles as they posed together at the premiere of Netflix’s “aka Charlie Sheen” documentary Thursday.
The duo, who were married from 2002 to 2006, even shared a hug during the step-and-repeat.
Richards, 54, paired wide-legged and high-waisted black satin pants with a sparkling cropped tank at the Netflix Tudum Theater in Los Angeles.
Sheen, who suited up for the occasion, hugged his ex-wife during the outing.
The pair last made a joint red carpet appearance in February 2005 during the Screen Actors Guild Awards, one month before Richards filed to end their marriage.
Richards and Sheen — who welcomed daughters Sami, now 21, and Lola, now 20, during their time together — finalized their divorce in November of the following year.
The Bravolebrity, notably, appears in her ex-husband’s new documentary — along with another of his ex-wives Brooke Mueller — which covers the actor’s career and his sobriety.
Her cameo comes on the heels of Sheen, 60, taking part in his former partner’s “Denise Richards & Her Wild Things” reality series.
Although Richards was married to Aaron Phypers while filming the show, she has since split from her 52-year-old husband.
After Phypers filed for divorce in July, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum accused him of “frequent” and “aggressive” physical abuse.
Phypers has denied the allegations, subsequently accusing Richards of having an affair with “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” instructor Rudy Reyes.
The duo’s contentious legal battle rages on, with Richards calling the drama “difficult to talk about” while breaking her silence last month.
Sheen has yet to comment on his ex’s breakup.
The “Two and a Half Men” alum has made rare comments about Richards over the years, insisting to People in 2023 that they were in an “absolutely friendly” place.
Two years later, Richards clarified on Jana Kramer’s “Whine Down” podcast, “I’m friendly with Charlie, but I wish we were friends and that we could talk all the time and be able to be there really for each other with our girls. But that’s just not the relationship we have.”
However, she celebrated that there is “no discord” between them.
“aka Charlie Sheen” begins streaming on Netflix Wednesday, one day after the release of his “The Book of Sheen” memoir.
